Introduction to the Media
For many people the prospect of speaking to a journalist can be frightening.
What are they going to ask me?
What should I say?
How do I answer tough questions?
Do they have their own agenda?
What will my boss say if I get it wrong?
Our introductory session shows the techniques required to handle a media interview with confidence, through a combination of theory and practical experience of interviews.
We’ll explain the importance of positive language and clear messages and how to keep control of the area of discussion so that you say what you want to say, regardless of the journalist’s agenda.
We’ll take up to six people at a time. Your interviews are recorded, replayed and analysed with critical assessment and we’ll give you a DVD to take away.
So that when the real media event comes along, you’ll be fully prepared.
