History

Founding Directors Bill McFarlan and Alan Douglas have been passing on their skills since 1989 when they formed the company.  They were both working as presenters of BBC Scotland’s flagship news programme Reporting Scotland and saw at first hand how nervous, unprepared and intimidated most people were when they faced a TV camera.  They were among the first in the country to devise media training sessions – explaining how the media works and how you can work with it….then practising your skills in front of camera and on radio. 

In those early days at the BBC they worked alongside one of the best-known faces of TV news in Scotland, Viv Lumsden.  She is now married to Alan and is involved in many of the company’s projects.
